Holmquistsign – the leading company in Scandinavia for interior signage

Holmquistsign was founded in 1937 and has worked with signage for public environments ever since.

The company was founded by Harry Holmquist and started off in a small basement in Stockholm. Today, the third and fourth generations of the Holmquist family are running the company.

As of 2019 Holmquistsign has 30 employees and has a yearly turnover of around 50 million SEK. We have continuously invested in new technology and machines to be able to produce signs with high quality and finish. Our factory is located in Norsborg, a suburb south of central Stockholm. In our factory production workers, foremen, machine operators and administrators work with drawing, designing, manufacturing and mounting signs. We have a sales office in the central parts of Stockholm.

We have large amount of materials in storage to be able to deliver in a short period of time. For example aluminum plates(different types), brass, copper, bronze, stainless steel, hot rolled steel, plastic laminate, plexi/acrylic glass, glass and various kinds of wood.

Holmquistsign can deliver everything from large LED signs to tiny engraved name signs. However, for the last 20 years our biggest sector has been interior signage for hotels, shopping malls and offices. Lately our focus has been directed to interior signage for cruise ships.

With over 80 years of experience in production and materials we can together with the customer find a solution that works with their graphic profile and integrates with the design of the cruise ship or the hotel.

We create signage plans and a budget for bigger and smaller projects. We have the ability to project, estimate and stock materials for placement, delivery and mounting on the time that the customers prefer.

The company is certified for the latest ISO 14000 and ISO 9001.

Examples of recent projects are the cruise ship Hanseatic Nature by Hapag-Lloyd, our branding of the Ideal of Sweden chain in Europe and 25 hours new hotel in Düsseldorf.
